Ruffled Scarf

I saw that someone had made a ruffled scarf from handpainted yarn, which I happened to have in my stash. It was originally going to be wrist warmers, but my sister warned me that it wouldn't be suitable for that. Inspired by this, I cast on for it, hoping to have it done so I could wear it to Stitches West. Unfortunately, it ended up being about 33" long. I'm not sure about what I'm going to do with it - I'm thinking of working it into a purse somehow. I think the scarf on the blog must have been worked on much larger needles.
