Hardanger Christmas Ornament

An online group I participate in decided to have an ornament exchange, which was the perfect oportunity to try some more hardanger. This piece had no cutwork, and was really simple but beautiful. It stitched up easily due to the repeating patterns, less need for the pattern while stitching.

I tried a new finishing technique for this ornament. I chain stitched around the front and back pieces, and then joined them together while beading at the same time. I really liked the way it turned out. I put a piece of batting in the ornament to give it a little shape.
