Snowflake hat progress
I’m finished with the charted portion of the hat:

Once I was at this point, I took a good look at the hat and found some mistakes, unfortunately in the first few rows of the pattern. Since this is me, I of course had to fix them. It was definitely a pain to drop down both sides of the hat – they really need to be fixed simultaneously, especially on the rows where I had originally used the wrong color and had to swap sides. I didn’t have my camera (or a photographer) or I would have captured the fun moments with two crochet hooks and double the amount of ladders. I didn’t, so you’ll just have to take my word for it that it wasn’t fun, that I had to do the first one several times before getting it right, but now everything is pretty (though in need of blocking). Now this is a project that I can work on around and about again, so I’m hoping to get it done with the help of some serious knitting time at next week’s Knitsmiths.
