More swatching
I went to the Encinitas yarn shops yesterday, and left with the 365 Knitting Stitches a Year Perpetual Calendar, and two sets of Susan Bates Quicksilver 2.75 mm needles (though I’ll still probably look for the brands suggested yesterday online, so I can do magic loop, as there wasn’t a Susan Bates long enough in stock). I also got Knitting from the Top Down, to follow Johanna’s advice about Green Gable. I want to use DK weight yarn anyway, and if I have to do those modifications plus adjust for the pattern, I might as well do my own thing. Anyway, back to the socks:

These are three stitch patterns from the calendar – I don’t remember the names off-hand, butI can look them up if anyone cares. I hope to start on actual socks this weekend sometime.
Any opinions on these? Other suggestions?
Leilani took advantage of Miyon’s Jordana Paige purse…

She also proved that like women and their cute but painful shoes, she is willing to be uncomfortable for the love of a purse:

I like the stitch in the middle.
Still like the bottom one.
Lielani’s such a cutie – and with good taste
In photo, I like the middle one now too. But I also still like the bottom one with the stitches popping out like that.
Oooh, the bottom stitch pattern is my favorite. Will it be stretchy enough?
I like the one in the middle. The yarn is fairly busy, and the middle stitch pattern looks good without looking fussy. Will you be joining us on Saturday at Rebecca’s?
Go for the middle stitch.
