I actually didn’t knit at all Sunday through Wednesday, so I was pretty happy to be able to knit last night at knit night. River is now off of the needles and blocking, and that little beaded knot is made as well.

I’m late for my sister’s birthday, but as I’ll be seeing her again on March 25th, I’m definitely doing better than I normally do. I still owe her the quilt for her birthday two years ago… I’ve discovered that while I have fairly good follow through on knitted projects (not counting the alpaca scarf) I can procrastinate over sewing projects forever.

I’m still not done with the curtains for the sliding glass door. They’ve been hanging all week, and I’m happy to report that I might not have to press them at all, as they seem to be doing that on their own under their own weight. I definitely will have them done this weekend, as well as the tie backs for the curtains I did for our bedroom, I don’t know, over a year ago. Sad, I know. Then I can clean up the massive mess that is my dining room right now (I like to set up the sewing machine and serger there – the set up in the actual craft room is less than ideal for sewing huge amounts of fabric).

I have a presentation for school on Tuesday, and a looming midterm (that I have to reschedule as I’ll be out of town), more spring cleaning to do, and then a trip, so I think the sporadic posting will continue for the rest of the month. At least these days, since I broke the “daily posting no matter what” habit, my sister doesn’t call me to make sure I’m alive if I miss a day.

Leilani did her usual purse approval process last night – after lying on what couldn’t possibly be a comfortable part of Miyon’s Jordana Paige bag, she switched to my gym bag, then finally my Jordana Paige bag. Snobby dog.
